Ex-HELLOWEEN Drummer Joins IRON SAVIOR For WACKEN OPEN AIR Gig

August 3, 2002

IRON SAVIOR utilized the services of former HELLOWEEN and current MASTERPLAN drummer Uli Kusch during their performance at Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany yesterday after regular drummer Thomas Nack hurt his finger and was unable to join the band for the gig. Said guitarist/vocalist Piet Sielck the day before the show: "We hoped that [Thomas'] bad finger would be OK for [the show].... but [on July 30th] we decided, that it is better to give it the chance to heal completely. We don't want Thomas to miss more than one show! Since we were aware of this, we are facing this situation not unprepared. We asked Uli Kusch four weeks ago if he would help us out. Since [July 30th] Uli is in Hamburg for last-minute rehearsals. All I can say is: He's well prepared and the show will be cool!"
